Matt Fitzgerald is a New York City-based actor and sports media professional. He ascended quickly to Bleacher Report’s breaking news staff before hard-pivoting to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree from The Actors Studio Drama School.
Matt’s post-grad odyssey brought him to Barstool Sports, where he became one of the company’s top writers, managed newsletters, and provided coverage on social media and via video/on-camera content.
As an actor, Matt most recently produced and starred in a series of short films titled Churchill, Perfect Description, and Shot Play, co-writing the latter. Full-length stage credits include Harvey in Beached and Wilson in Bobrauschenbergamerica. Matt was a co-writer and actor in The Park, a devised play set in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park. He also worked as a productions intern at The Barrow Group for their acclaimed Off-Broadway production of Expecting Isabel.
Matt is a multifaceted artist who’s graced sets and stages from across Europe to Lincoln Center, and excels as a singer and guitarist as well. He’s a versatile and industrious storyteller who’s eager to tackle myriad creative endeavors. Matt is keen to serve stories with a spirit of generosity, conviction, curiosity, and collaboration.
