I was thrilled to discover that Reelarc offered me a way to produce an acting demo reel I could truly be proud of. The process of developing these three short films gave me a lot of creative control and built my confidence as a storyteller. Combining my passion for sports — specifically the NFL Draft — and film for Shot Play was a major highlight for me.
The reel process began with Churchill, a rather audacious first step with a high-concept premise. My character Greg is a desperate, lost soul who’s spent a little too much time toiling away in isolation on his AI passion project. His pitch to a former colleague to partner with him goes predictably awry.
Perfect Description is something of a stylized office comedy, as my guy Charlie tries to convince his coworker Stan that they need to hold their rogue CEO accountable for some appalling actions.
A big thank you to Reelarc for helping me see these stories through. The full versions of Shot Play, Churchill, and Perfect Description are available below, along with my voiceover reel, which features a range of different characters and colorful inflections.
I also starred in a short film adapted from the Coen Brothers movie Inside Llewyn Davis. Directed by Richard Yang at NYU Tisch Sight and Sound Studio.
I performed (as singer and guitarist) the award-winning song “Falling Slowly” from the musical Once in a showcase at Lincoln Center’s Bruno Walter Auditorium. Duet with Molly Billman; accompaniment by Nathan Perry.
